NCT Medway will be meeting the great expectations of breastfeeding mums at this summer’s Dickens Festival in Rochester from 3-5 June.
“We have such fantastic, bustling, vibrant public events in Medway, but it can be hard to find a quiet corner to breastfeed a baby or toddler,” says NCT Medway Hospitality Co-ordinator Helen Maxwell.
“That’s why we have teamed up with Medway Council and will be running a marquee in the Castle Grounds to offer a comfortable, discreet space to mums with babies and young children for feeding, nappy changing and information throughout the festival.
“Mums and dads, as well as mums and dads-to-be, can speak to our friendly volunteers who will be on hand with information about all aspects of parenting from bumps, to babies and beyond.”
NCT Medway will be providing more breastfeeding and support space for families with under 5s and parents to be at events and festivals across Medway throughout 2011.
